For the first time, I liked the Ubuntu look and feel. Just installed it a couple of hours ago, and I am yet to change the browny theme. I was always happy with the ease of use and the applications it installed by default.
The Karmic Koala comes with an impressive 'Software Center' which makes it even more easy to get more info regarding available and supported softwares. Also, updates are checked for, at every first login, even on the console.
Altogether, I am impressed and wanted to spread the word!
